Eve Online: With the recent announcement of Alliance Tournament XVII, I catch up with CCP Aurora for a chat about the tournament.
For those not familiar with the format we start off with a 2 minute introduction to what the tournament entails. We then discuss the reasons for it's hiatus a couple of years ago and it's return this year, it's place amongst the other tournaments and the role that EVE-NT plays. We also cover the changes to the format of AT prize ships ships and then dive into the rule changes with CCP Aurora explaining the cascading blind system, the inclusion of mercenaries, point values for individual ships, the exclusion of AT prize ships in the tournament and the change to flagships.
We finish off with the registration process, the purpose of the AT Discord and the community aspect of the tournament.
