Print media has covered COVID-19 consistently - Report

Research shows that the local dailies provided a significant proportion of space to COVID-19 related coverage at the onset of the pandemic in 2020.

The findings by the African Centre for Media Excellence (ACME) also show that attention to COVID-19 wavered towards the end of the year in spite of the new cases.

The report says there were not as many investigative stories as the conventional ones which accounted for 80 percent of the space in newspapers.
