Cybersecurity analyst, Toby Shapshak, says he doesn't believe South Africa's intelligence and security officials were aware President Cyril Ramaphosa was a potential target of spy surveillance. This comes as an investigation by Amnesty International and French journalists' organisation, Forbidden Stories, reveals that at least 34 high ranking politicians, military personnel, and government officials were found on spyware, NSO's database.
President Cyril Ramaphosa is one of those targeted alongside French President Emmanuel Macron and World Health Organization chief, Tedros Ghebreyesus.
