I feel really nervous actually, even as I'm typing the description here.
So... What do I say um...
I've actually been wanting to do a voice reveal for some time now, but have just never got the courage to do it. I'm not really able to speak well in videos because I get really nervous and stutter/pause a lot. I still do. 😅
So why a song? Well, I love singing, it's fun! Though I mostly hum/sing in the bathroom~ :'D It has natural reverb (I think? I don't have much experience with audio editing)! But I did try my best to edit the audio in the video.
Though, the idea of a song actually started as a joke over a year ago. I lost a challenge (I don't even remember what it was anymore) to Elise and the forfeit she chose was to sing a song for a video. Of course she was joking as there was no way I'd do it; I had no intention of using my voice in videos at all back then. :')
But then I gradually started to want to speak in videos (since last year). Watching friends and club members doing it too did make me want to step out of my comfort zone as well. I think I'm probably just overly self-conscious and wanted to change and not be like that? If that makes sense. x)
So I tried speaking in videos (though I never uploaded any) for a voice reveal and it didn't really work out. 😅
But of course... Elise comes up with a solution! She has been trying to get me to sing a song for over a year now. 'The lyrics in songs are already there, you won't need to think of sentences, so you won't stutter or pause at all!' she said. Eventually (after many many months), I agreed ahahah, but we couldn't think of a song...
Then Wild Woods got released last year, and Elise laughed at me for getting lost on my way to the watch tower... Then everything just fell into place~ I love the 'Lost in the Woods' song, it's one of my favourites from the Frozen 2 movie, I had to try not to laugh too loudly in the theatre when it played~ I hope I didn't mess up the song too much. I'm not the best at singing and struggled with the pronunciation initially hehe. I'm not used to singing songs like this but it was still really fun. :P
This is a really long description... :o I should probably just upload this now but I still feel really nervous. Who knows? In some months or years' time, I might look back at this and just wonder why I struggled with it so much. That'd be really cool though, it'll mean I've become more confident! :D
