The European Union is in need of institutional and democratic reform. Yet, recent attempts have failed to overcome the institutional reform deadlock. Which reform projects and initiatives can be expected from Germany and France in this exciting phase after the federal election and before the election in France? What could be a vision of a more democratic European Union in 2030? What role can the Conference on the Future of Europe play in achieving this? Sandro Gozi and Franziska Brantner, two leading politicians and experts on the institutional reform of the EU, will explore the potential of democratisation on a European level.
With a keynote by:
- Richard Youngs, Senior Fellow at Carnegie Europe
Followed by a discussion with:
- Franziska Brantner, Member of the German Parliament, Alliance '90/The Greens
- Sandro Gozi, Member of the European Parliament, Renew Europe
Moderated by Susana Peralta
