China's latest COVID-19 outbreak its most widespread since Wuhan

China's latest COVID-19 outbreak is now its most widespread since the virus was first detected in Wuhan nearly two years ago. Infection numbers have continued to swell despite increasingly tough action. There have been more than 600 local cases in nearly 20 provinces and regions. Close to 100 infections were reported on Nov 3 -- the highest in three months. Sweeping lockdowns and mass testing have been imposed, especially in the capital Beijing, which is set to hold key events in the coming weeks and months.
