Looting issue caused by 'policies that Californians voted for'

Recastled CEO Kosha Gada says the looting issues within the state of California are a result of polices “that Californians voted for”.

“It was called Proposition 47, back in 2014, it passed by a vote of 60 to 40, which decriminalised shop lifting and petty theft and reclassified it from being a felony to being a misdemeanour,” Ms Gada told Sky News host Cory Bernardi.

“That then leads to a decision by law enforcement to not chase those people or not prosecute it because a misdemeanour doesn’t really get anybody anywhere and then from there the downward spiral continues.”
