Removing A Botfly From A Kitten's Head (Part 10)

There is many ways to detect a Botfly Larvae in your pet, first by swelling bellow the surface of the skin, or the animal may show some signs to that, so the most common symptom to that is a raised opening in the lump so that the maggot may breath. The opening in this one has been spotted in her head and the kitten definitely felt some pain as it was being removed, Normal skilled veterinarians should be able to get them out if they are in the migratory stage and has settled into a spot on the body.
