Sidalia Rego has dedicated her life to defending women's rights, and ensuring women can escape family violence.

As COVID spread in Timor-Leste, she helped set-up the country’s first sisterhood of support.

It has meant Timor’s feminist movement has continued to thrive even in the toughest of times, and ensured that woman and children can seek safety amid COVID-19 restrictions.
