Almost all of us have watched science fiction movies that feature astronauts being thrust into outer space by an invincible rocket ship. And following the crew's departure from the Earth's atmosphere, they are on their way to the moon, Mars, or somewhere else in deep space. And it's an old story. Further, the diversity of science fiction films we have seen now makes it hard even to remember one example off the top of your head. But as far as we can remember, there are numerous movies in which the crew always wanders alongside their spaceship or space station as if they were on earth. However, how is that even possible? Isn't there a lesser influence of gravity in space than on Earth? Yes, there is far less gravity on the surface of other planets or in space. It seems that people in these movies always behave as if they have no problem with this. The reason is that artificial gravity does exist in science fiction, even though it still does not exist in real life.
