The unique matchmaking method completely different than the typical dating apps.
Korea is known for its dynamic and smart culture. What the world knows about Korean culture is mostly about K-pop stars like BTS, companies like Samsung, Taekwondo etc. But one of the best parts of the Korean culture is the matchmaking culture.
The matchmaker, the person who matches a couple, has been around over 600 years in Korea. For hundreds of years until the recent one or two decades, 97% of the couples got married through matchmaking.
Back in the old days, each town had its own matchmaker. The matchmakers usually have their main job and did matchmaking as a side job. Matchmakers were generally well trusted by the town people. They match up couples mainly based on the information like age, residence, religion, education and economical status, salary, the social and economic status of the couples’ parents, etc. After considering all these factors, people with similar backgrounds will be matched up. Couples married through this method, usually end up having a harmonious marriage.

What separates us from the typical dating apps.
1. Your information provided at the registration, will be categorized by age, religion, jobs, education etc. just like the traditional Korean matchmaker would have done. For people who had been married before, detailed information about whether you have children or who has the custody etc. are required in the profile registration stage so that you can be more open about your situation when choosing the person to date.
2. If you are college graduates and above, you are required to provide your school diploma or certificates, if have a job then you are required to provide proof of the employment, if you are a high-income earner then you are required to provide the proof of your income. By adding this verification steps, we reduced the uncertainties and risks of the typical dating apps by a great margin. Only downside is that you need to provide a bit more information at the registration however, this way you can meet with someone with more reliable information.
3. Pay later. With the typical dating apps, whether you are finding someone to date through the apps or not, you still have to pay the monthly dues.
