Hello Weekend Crafter!
Welcome or welcome back to the Craft Time Studio.
For this video, I wanted to show you my typical crafting weekend. I start off with some coffee (hello to all the coffee lovers out there!) and then I browse through my color book. It's called "A Book of Colors" and though it's been first published in 1987, it's still available at Amazon. I'm sharing the link in case you're interested in purchasing it - https://www.amazon.com/Book-Colors-Shigenobu-Kobayashi/dp/0870118005/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2F0JWA5JLEXB&keywords=a+book+of+colors+by+shigenobu+kobayashi&qid=1653220643&sprefix=A+Book+of+Colors%2Caps%2C283&sr=8-1
Then, I also browse through some of my favorite Instagram print artists such as @amymaccready and @paulienvandekuijlen. I normally use print artists for inspiration because I love to see how they mix and match colors and patterns.
These are just some of the tips I have for those who are experiencing creative blocks. I guess the most important advice I have is to give your self time to rest. Sometimes, I have the urge to power through even when I'm not feeling particularly creative, which often results into me creating work that I'm not in love with.
I hope that you feel inspired this weekend. Happy crafting!
