American actor, James Caan, passed away in Los Angeles, on July 6, at the age of 82.
He first found fame, playing Chicago Bears halfback, Brian Piccolo, in the 1971 film, Brian's Song.
Then came his iconic role of playing mafia heir, Sonny Corleone, in The Godfather, which earned him an Oscar nomination, for best actor in a supporting role.
He also appeared in films such as The Gambler, The Glory Guys, A Bridge Too Far, and Get Smart.
American actor, Tony Sirico, best known for his role, as Paulie Gualtieri, on the HBO series The Sopranos, died on July 8, at the age of 79, three weeks, before his 80th birthday. Sirico played a major role in the HBO drama, that started in 1999, and became an influential hit, early in the era of prestige television.
Tony Sirico also appeared in Goodfellas, Mighty Aphrodite, The Pick-Up Artist, and Bullets Over Broadway.
American actor, Lenny Von Dohlen, who played Harold Smith, on the hit series Twin Peaks, and in the prequel film, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, passed away on July 5, 2022, at the age of 63.
Through the years, Von Dohlen, booked dozens of movies and recurring roles on shows, like Criminal Minds, The Orville, The Pretender, Electric Dreams, and Leaving Normal.
Though he was primarily a dramatic actor, he wasn’t afraid to try new things – like playing one of the bumbling bad guys, in the 1997 film, Home Alone 3.
American actor, Larry Storch, died at his home, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, on July 8, at the age of 99. He was best known, as bumbling Corporal, Randolph Agarn, on 1960s sitcom, F Troop.
Although F Troop lasted only two seasons on ABC, from 1965 to 1967, it became a cult favorite in reruns.
He also appeared in more than 25 Hollywood films, including The Great Bank Robbery, Record City, A Fine Mess, and That Funny Feeling.
American character actor, Gregory Itzin, passed away on July 8, 2022, at the age of 74, due to complications during an emergency surgery.
He was best known for his twice-Emmy-nominated role, as President Charles Logan, In the series, 24.
He also appeared, in dozens of films and series, such as Friends, The Mentalist, Airplane, Profiler, and Something Wilder.
American Western star, L Q Jones, passed away on July 9, at the age of 94. He died surrounded by his family, at his home in the Hollywood Hills.
His film roles included parts, in Battle Cry, Flaming Star, Casino, Toward the Unknown, The Wild Bunch, and Ride the High Country.
On television, he appeared on Renegade, The Virginian, Gunsmoke, Klondike, and Rawhide.
American character actor, Joe Turkel, died on june 27, at the age of 94, from liver failure, at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California.
He was best known for his supporting roles in three Stanley Kubrick films, including The Killing, Paths of Glory, and The Shining.
His last screen appearance was in the futuristic 1990 sci-fi film, The Dark Side of the Moon, which is set in 2022.
