Trump's Latest Temper Tantrum Makes Even Less Sense Than Usual

Donald Trump is throwing yet another temper tantrum, but this most recent one actually makes even less sense - even by Trump standards. Trump claimed that the magistrate judge who signed off on the search warrant should recuse himself from the case, but that isn't how any of this works. The judge isn't presiding over the case at all, and there are no conflicts about the judge's connections that would lead to recusal. BUT, there is another possible reason Trump made this suggestion, as Farron Cousins explains.

So Donald Trump on, uh, Monday evening had another temper tantrum on truth, social as he does now, that's just the way things are, especially as the legal heat heats up on him, he's gonna have more and more of these meltdowns and tantrums. But the one he had Monday evening really kind of stuck out to me because it was even less coherent than his normal temper tantrums, right. Something wasn't quite right with this tantrum. So I'm gonna read what he posted. There is no way to justify the unannounced raid in all caps of Malago the home of the 45th president of the United States who got more votes by far than any sitting president in the history of our country, by a very large number of gun toting FBI agents in the department of justice. But in the interest of transparency, I call for the immediate release of the completely unredacted affidavit pertaining to this horrible and shocking break in. Also the judge on this case should recuse.

Now it's that little part right there. Also the judge in the case should recuse that's what's so weird because here's the thing about the magistrate judge that signed off on the warrant that allowed the, uh, execution of the warrant, the search, the search and seizure ed Malago to even take place. There is no that we know of that we can find that anybody has seen conflict of interest for that particular judge. So there's literally no reason for that judge to recuse themselves, not to mention the fact that it already happened. So the judge would have to have a time machine to go back in time to recuse himself before he signed off on the warrant.

So that makes no sense. And now, again, we're used to Donald Trump, not making sense, but this makes less sense than normal until you realize what he is doing. Because as I said, this took place on Monday night. So what happened earlier Monday? We gotta, we gotta go back in time a little bit ourselves here earlier on Monday, Donald Trump goes out there and says to Fox news, Hey, I think we need to turn the heat down in this country. I've reached out to the DOJ, asking what I can do to calm things down, oh, we don't want horrible things to happen. And then he goes, and he sends this thing out, knowing the horrible things that his supporters have done. And he not only calls it a break in which of course is attacking the FBI. Even if not by name, he calls them the department of justice with justice and quotes. So he is attacking these same law enforcement agencies that he swore earlier in the day he was not gonna do anymore. And that he wants all the craziness to stop. And then after stoking outrage at

Those agencies, then he mentions the judge. See, now it all makes sense. Now the magistrate judge in this case, Reinhardt has already received multiple death threats. They actually had to take his webpage, uh, uh, for the, the magistrate court, take it down. So people stopped getting his private information, or at least his work information. They didn't want anybody to have it because of the threats that are coming in. So Donald Trump, by looping this in now, by making the statement should have recused or should recuse. He's trying to paint this judge as somehow corrupt and therefore making all of this seem like, oh, well clearly it's a political hatchet job against me. It's another witch hunt. This judge is responsible for this. Now we have seen what Donald Trump's supporters have already done by far. Several of them are already dead because of what they've attempted to do because Donald Trump is demonizing these agencies here in the United States. So him throwing in the judge, wasn't just an odd little bit of, wow, he's weirder than usual. In my opinion, it was his way of directing more hate towards that specific judge, because Donald Trump has an ax to grind and he does not care one bit about the human consequences of what happens next.
