In the mid-1990s, Alfa Romeo was undergoing something of a styling revolution. Under FIAT's ownership, Alfa Romeo needed to showcase its credentials as a producer of desirable Italian performance cars.
Launched in 1997, the beautifully styled 156 with its Busso V6 was the key to competing with German marques, and became the most successful Alfa Romeo of all time.
