UNDISPUTED | Skip "surprised" Chiefs open as slight favorites over Cowboys at home in Week 11

The Kansas City Chiefs find themselves atop the AFC West division after a win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10. They’re right back in the thick of the playoff picture on the back of three consecutive wins in what many considered the toughest portion of their schedule. Things won’t get any easier this week as they face a Dallas Cowboys team that is fresh off a dominant 43-3 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

According to Tipico Sportsbook, Kansas City will be a 2.5-point favorite over Dallas with an over/under point total of 55.5 points scored. The money line is -108 for the Chiefs and -122 for the Cowboys. Kansas City is just 3-7 against the spread this season, while Dallas is 8-1 on the year.

The Cowboys lead the all-time series over the Chiefs with a 7-4 record since 1970. They’ve split games against Kansas City during the Andy Reid era with a win in 2017 and a loss back in 2013. This will mark their first game against the Chiefs during Patrick Mahomes’ tenure as starting quarterback.

Both of these teams are coming off of blowout wins after facing some adversity of their own over the past few months. Hopefully, both teams left some energy in the tank for the game this week. It’s the Chiefs’ last game before the bye week and it’s their final NFC opponent of the season. They’ll need to be extra focused in order to avoid an upset. With a victory, they can make it four straight heading into the bye week before a divisional showdown with the Denver Broncos in Week 13.
