Sailing Finland on a reproduction 100 year old ship to a historic fishing village

We spent to the day on a reproduction 100 year old ship sailing of the west coast of Finland to a historic fishing island. For hundreds of years people have lived off the sea and traditionally hunted seals for both food and income. The island has been protected and has gone predominantly unchanged for hundreds of years. The boat was built entirely by volunteers who now man the sailboat and bring tourists along for a unique experience. The boat is known as the Kaaljasi Ansio and we were lucky enough to get a chance to experience it.
