Conservative Dating App FLOPS After No Women Sign Up

The conservative-only dating app The Right Stuff is off to a bit of a rocky start, as reports claim that very few women are signing up, leaving just a bunch of right wing dudes on the app. The site is the brainchild of Kayleigh McEnany's sister with funding from conservative billionaire Peter Thiel, but all that money and "name recognition" is likely not enough to save it. Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

Recently there was announced a new conservative dating app called The Right Stuff. The app was being pushed by multiple different former members of the Trump administration. In fact, they're the ones who actually developed it along with funding from billionaire, conservative Peter th And the first ad that came out featured Ryan McEnany, the sister of former Trump spokesperson, Kayleigh McEnany, talking about how great the app is, Women get to join for free, It's gonna be totally awesome. And then on launch day last week, they put out a new ad with all these women telling us things like, uh, they were looking for masculine men, or men with an alpha male vibe. They were also, uh, um, said they wanted men who wanted to have children. Their faith was important to them, and they'd have better manners because they were conservatives. And they said that Democrats, of course, if a man said he's a Democrat, that's a big red flag.

That's at least what the women in the commercial that the group put out said on the app itself. You're hard pressed to even find a woman because according to multiple different reports, women just aren't signing up. Even though, as Ryan Mcan said in her ad, women, you get the premium version for free. You don't have to pay for anything. The dudes have to pay for that. But even being free for all the premium features, conservative women are still saying, Eh, thanks, but, uh, but no thanks. We will, uh, we will go out and find our men the old fashioned way, or we'll use a better app because hey, there's actually dudes signing up for it. But because the app actually only uses heterosexual couples, the men can't even match with each other. So they're just left out there in oblivion wondering, Why aren't the women coming to me?

It's because it's a stupid idea. It's a stupid idea put forth by stupid people who think that, Oh, we'll do our conservative only things and everybody will flock to it. Listen, I know conservatives love to think that in every aspect of our lives, people are hyperpartisan, right? But when it comes down to it, we're not even me, right? I do politics all day every day. That doesn't mean that out in my personal life, I'm political in every decision I make. No, I'll watch a movie that has people I know are conservatives in it, and I won't bat an eye. I still watch the Santa Claus trilogy every Christmas, even though, uh, Tim Allen is a ardent rightwinger. I don't care. It doesn't bug me as much as conservatives think that it bugs people, which is why they think, of course, that we need a conservative only dating app, or we need a conservative only social media app. Oh, they'll love this. They'll all come flocking to it. And then of course, each and every one of them becomes a massive flop,

Which is what is happening with the right stuff. Turns out people aren't quite as constantly partisan as the Republican party would like to think, and they're sinking a hell of a lot of money into just learning that lesson, whether it's through parlor, whether it's truth, social, or whether it's the right stuff. Republicans have now literally spent hundreds of millions of dollars to prove that. Sometimes people just don't want to be partisan.
