COVID-19 Mythbusting with Queen's Docs

As we approach campus reopening, it is important to understand the difference between COVID-19 myths and realities. Dr. Samantha Buttemer (Assistant Professor, Dept of Public Health Sciences, Public Health Advisor, Faculty of Health Sciences), and Dr. Gerald A. Evans (Chair, Division of Infectious Diseases, Dept of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences) discuss these myths and what steps Queen's is taking in order to move forward.

0:00 Introduction
0:09 Myth 1: You can get COVID-19 by interacting with individuals who are vaccinated already
0:46 Myth 2: There will be restrictions on campus for individuals who have not yet received both doses
0:59 Myth 3: The faculty will be aware of who is or isn't vaccinated and will be forcing everyone to get vaccinated
1:37 Myth 4: It may be unsafe to return to campus if you have only received 1 dose of the vaccine
2:15 Myth 5: I can still get COVID-19 if I am vaccinated, specifically from exposure to variants
3:10 Myth 6: Sufficient ventilation is the most important control for COVID-19 in all Queen's buildings
